After a rather long hiatus and a few trial runs, we’re officially back and out performing in the community!
This summer, we were able to reunite with friends, old and new and put on a season of concerts that pushed us another step towards returning to a ‘normal’ concert season before the zoom years. Here’s a quick look back at the concerts:
29th May – Crewe Market Hall #ceplayspiano projectÂ
We were delighted to be asked to take part in the #ceplayspiano project managed by Cheshire East Council and the Crewe Lyceum Theatre. 4 pianos have been placed in public spaces across Crewe and Macclesfield and are open to the public to use as well as for pre-arranged activities and concerts. Click here to visit our Facebook page for pictures and videos from the event.
4th June – Sandbach Town Hall
This joint concert with the Sandbach U3A Choir was intended to happen in 2020. We never expected it to go ahead 2 years later and on the Jubilee weekend! Needless to say we had a few Jubilee items and a few ambitious joint items like attempting to sing a bit of G&S with 2 x soloists, Mens solo group, Ladies solo group, Ladies choir, and Mens choir and then Joint choir sections! A few mishaps perhaps, but it was a very fun evening indeed.
23rd June – Haven Cafe Jubilee Celebration Afternoon Tea!
It was lovely to provide some background entertainment for this event, we thank Haven Cafe for getting in touch. The food was lovely and we’d be more than happy to ‘help out’ again 🙂
11 July  – Summer Serenade at Hopes and Beams
Our annual summer fundraiser for Hopes and Beams had a little something extra to it this year – a whole other male voice choir! This was our first joint concert with Newcastle Male Voice Choir and we hope we continue to collaborate in the future as it was truly stunning to hear the sound of the combined choirs.
