Choir Chairman:  Cliff Walker


Cliff started his working life as an apprentice in Crewe Locomotive Works rising to become the works Electrical Engineer.

Later he worked in Ghana installing Locomotive test equipment and in Kenya building locomotives. He also worked in the Sudan rebuilding Locos. Following that he worked in Tanzania  for 7 years building Shunting Locomotives and later Sleeping Carriages before retiring.

Current interests include long walks in mountainous areas, parish council work,

sequence dancing and singing with both Crewe Male Voice Choir and Audlem Voices.

Choir Musical Director: Jenny Collis-Smith


Started learning piano at 4 and organ at 11 years old. Held first organist post at 14, and at 18  left school to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London where she gained a teaching  diploma, an organ diploma and music degree. Worked as head of music at Orme Girls School,  Newcastle under Lyme and then left to start a family, but continued to teach piano pupils  privately at home, which she still does today. Has also been organist of St James Church,  Audlem, for 31 years, Musical Director of Crewe Male Voice Choir for just over 9 years and  Musical Director of Audlem Voices since it started in Jan 2008.

 Main interests include reading, crosswords, knitting, attending concerts (especially military  bands) and visiting family. (Has 2 sons, 2 daughters and currently 8 grandchildren).


Choir Accompanist:  Treona Holden

Treona studied music at the University of Huddersfield where she had the opportunity to take part in several opera productions and choral performances as well as being involved with the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. Following her graduation in 2006, Treona was appointed as the accompanist for the Keele Philharmonic Choir (2006-2010) and has an ongoing association with the Keele Bach Choir working on a wide range of repertoire from Orff’s Carmina Burana and Mozart’s Requiem to more challenging works such as Gesualdo’s Sabbato Sancto and Hindermith’s Apparebit Repentina Dies. In 2009 she was appointed as the Assistant Music Director of the Keele Bach Choir.  Treona has also worked with the Keele Chapel Singers, Audlem Voices and the Newcastle Ladies’ Choir.  . Over the past few years she has worked with several soloists and performed at the Audlem Music Festival. Most recently, Treona had the opportunity to perform Handel’s Messiah with the Keele Bach Choir, International Soloists and the Northern Chamber Orchestra at the Victoria Hall, Hanley.

Treona has been involved in choral performance since an early age as a member of the Stoke-on-Trent City Music Youth Choir. This gave her the opportunity to work with various choirs and opera companies across the UK and in Europe. Treona is committed to choral excellence and looks forward to working with the Crewe Male Voice Choir.
